omg furry

I don't like furries. Not because some of them want to screw cartoon characters, which is still fucking heinous but beside the point. Not because they believe they're really an ASTWAL DWAGGIN or whatever which is really strange but eh, not the worst. No, I hate furries because they are, for the most part COMPLETELY ATTATCHED TO THEIR IDEALS. I stopped calling myself a furry artist almost a year ago because it wasn't doing me any good. And in retrospect, I improved my life.

I don't like furries because they waste their time on a target audience which is poor in creativity as well as in finances, yet still idiotic enough to shell out their rent money in order to get a commission done or to buy a fursuit.

I don't like furries because they're fucking blind. They'll befriend anyone and defend anyone because they're a furry rather than because the person they're befriending has any respectable moral values. By moral values I mean values the majority of society holds dear, such as NOT being a pedophile or a child molester or incestuous, NOT taking advantage of others, NOT being a whiny sour-ass bitch as so many furries are.

I've been quoted for saying this and I'm not proud of it because it's been said by countless other people before me, but furry art is bland, boring and trite. Any self-respecting artist who draws "furry art" will neither call it "furry art" nor will they refer to themselves as a "furry". It isn't needed. Calling yourself a "furry" is a membership card to a club you don't want to be in, being interested in anthropomorphic animals in an academic sense doesn't make you a "furry".

This is a cautionary rant: don't call yourself a furry. You don't seem like one, and I don't want you to fall into the same category. Refuse to label yourself, it'll do you a world of good.
